If you have long hair, leave it down! I’ll use a towel to keep it out of the way while you’re face down on the table. If you want to wear it up, make sure that your pony tail is high enough for you to rest your head on the table while you’re face up! Keep it loose!
Never apologize to anyone for not shaving! Ever! It's best to not shave the day of a massage if you have sensitive skin.
If you are getting a salt scrub - Do Not Shave Day Of- This is too much exfoliation for you, and it makes it harder to scrub! Skip it!
HAIR:
Staying comfortable- Everything is adjustable! The face cradle, the table warmer, the bolsters, the music.. all you have to do is speak up! I’ll do what I can to make sure this is a great experience for you.
The face cradle- the opening is intended to be just for your nose and your mouth. If you sink your head into the cradle, or if you position your eyes in the opening, you may end up resting your throat or chin on a table or a bar and could be uncomfortable.
Lying face down on the table- If you have difficulty lying on your belly there are options! I have a bolster with cut outs on the chest and stomach to take pressure off those areas. Plus there are pillows and bolsters galore. And if lying on your belly isn’t an option we can do some side lying to make adjustments!
TABLE COMFORT:
It’s all about communication. I will use my 11 years of experience and continued education to provide quality bodywork. I need you to tell me how you’re feeling, only you know that. So if you would like any more or less pressure at any point during the massage, please let me know.
You are welcome to stay as dressed as you need to. The idea is to relax and be comfortable. That said, it is suggested that you leave underwear on, and take everything else off. If you are comfortable taking underwear off as well, you are welcome to. You will always be respectfully draped.
THE MASSAGE:
How your body feels, how much time you have, how much cash you have to spend, how available to babysitter is are all things that might come into play while you’re deciding how often to get massages. As a little guide, once a month is what I would call a general maintenance plan. If there’s something in particular bothering you, perhaps once a week or every other week. You can always adjust the length of your massage too. 30, 60, and 90 minutes are available to help tailor the service to your needs.
FREQUENCY:
-Payment is required at registration for all yoga classes.
-Scrubs and specials requiring set up time and extra products require a deposit. If you cancel or reschedule last minute for these services the deposit will be kept, your appointment cancelled, and you will need to rebook. These appointments are long, and restrict my scheduling when the commitment is broken without adequate time to rebook that allotted time. Product may also be wasted if already prepared. If you need to discuss your situation, please call and leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
-All other services may be paid at time of service.
CASH IS KING! Credit/Debit Cards and Health Savings Account Cards accepted. I do not accept insurance of any kind.
Refunds are not automatic. If you feel you have not received a refund when you should have, please email me and let me know the name, date, and amount and I will get it processed when applicable. There is a $5 refund charge.
While rescheduling is allowed, abuse of this privilege is not tolerated. Excessive rescheduling will result in cancellation of your appointment, no refund, and banning from scheduling in the future. Appointments are a commitment, not a space holder. Please be as respectful of my time and money as you are yours.
